Ford are producing a new Mustang that should be available from early 2017 that would pop out more than 700bhp to challenge the SRT Hellcat.
If they reach their 740hp quoted figure, it would make the Mustang the most powerful muscle car on the market from its rumoured brand new twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 engine.
The previous GT500 only managed to push out 662hp so this would be a significant improvement in power from its older sibling and almost 100 hp more than the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
The new Mustang is also due to shed some weight to make it as lightweight as possible to have an edge over the competition, Queue the aluminium and carbon fiber parts galore.
No official pics yet so ones used are from the GT500 2013 Mustang.
