You read it right. A guy called Preston Henn is suing Ferrari because he wasn’t in the running to buy the newest addition to Ferrari’s lineup of supercars, The LaFerrari Spider.Mr Henn is an avid Ferrari Collector with an impressive collection of cars already in his garage including the LaFerrari Coupe. He was that keen to buy the LaFerrari Spider he sent a $1Million check direct to Ferrari for the deposit.
But to Mr Henn’s horror he received the reply which he was not expecting saying that he had not qualified to the purchase of the LaFerrari Spider. This did not go down well. Not only is Mr Henn miffed because he got denied the opportunity to buy the LaFerrari Spider, but he is taking Ferrari to court to pursue a defamation lawsuit.
In the documents submitted to court: “The publication of the statement that Preston Henn is not qualified to purchase a LaFerrari Spider is an untrue statement which harms Henn’s reputation and holds him up to ridicule, disrespect and disrepute in his profession, trade, occupation, avocation, and among his friends and business and social associates”
The LaFerrari Spider pretty much sold out before most people even knew it existed and with it only being a very small amount of cars being made we can see Mr Henn’s frustration but it just goes to show you money can’t buy you everything!
