We were lucky enough for a media invite at Goodwood Festival of Speed to get the chance to see the unveiling of the new Aston Martin GT12 Roadster.
It’s basically the GT12 with the roof chopped off, suspension stiffened to make up for the lack of roof and the rigidity it brings but most of all, its missing the iconic wing. They have made it sound amazing and the shape is awesome, however without the wing it doesnt stand out quite as much as the GT12.
Its meant to be a one off, but as we all know if there is enough interest after the unveiling im sure there will be a limited run of GT12 Roadsters made available. The rumour is that this special Q project, one off Aston Martin GT12 Roadster cost the client in excess of Half A Million Pounds.
The engine of the Roadster is the same as the standard GT12, a V12, 592hp, 6.0-liter beast – and also has the seven-speed Sportshift III paddle-shift transmission.
