As Liberty Media completes it’s £6.4 billion takeover, big changes are happening in the crazy world of Formula One.
Bernie Ecclestone has been replaced by Chase Carey in the Chief Executive Officer role with Bernie being given the title chairman emeritus and will act as an adviser to the board.
He spoke to German magazine AMS, declaring: “I was dismissed. This is official. I no longer run the company. My position has been taken by Chase Carey.” Officially: “I’m very pleased that the business has been acquired by Liberty and that it intends to invest in the future of F1. I am sure that Chase will execute his role in a way that will benefit the sport.”
To the delight of Formula One fans around the world, Ross Brawn is back.
He takes the role of overseeing the racing side, who better than Ross Brawn to try and bring the excitement of racing back in to Foruma One – the future is looking promising for Formula One!
