Here is the 2018 refresh of the Mustang, and it’s looking rather tame.
Performance is supposed it up though, reworking the 5.0 litre V8 to allow it to rev higher than any previous Mustang before it. Ford’s dual-fuel, high pressure direct injection and low-pressure port injection equates to better torque, increased bhp and better fuel efficiency – you can’t ask for more than that!
The V8 also receives a new twin disc clutch and dual mass flywheel. The manual gearbox has been tweaked to also improve torque and the auto has been upped from 6 gears to 10! Expect faster shifts, reduced friction losses and paddles!
Suspension has been further revised, a new cross-axis joint at the rear and stabilizer bars added to aid response and handling.
Outside sees a remodelled grille and bonnet, featuring new vents. LED lights take place front and rear, a new rear bumper, fascia and an optional spoiler. The exhaust receives a dual tip whilst the V8 gets quad pipes, there is also an optional active exhaust available.
Inside sees a new centre console inside, with more aluminium, new seat surfaces, badges and remodeled key fob. Topped off with a 12 inch digital LCD on the dash sees some good refinements!
It is due on sale later this year!
