AMG’s 50th anniversary sees updates and a new AMG GT C
More power, more goodies and a new model – the GT C comes out of Mercedes in line with their 50th anniversary
Their new model, the GT C fits between the GT S and full pirate GT R. Power for the GT S is at 522bhp, the GT R is 585bhp so this sits in at the 557bhp mark. Engine is the 4 litre V8 and there is a limited run of just 50 in a “Edition 50” spec.
This includes limited paint finishes, forged alloy’s, custom options packages and the Edition 50 badges to show off.
The range now features six models, but it’s from the GT S and up where you get the main benefits such as electronically controlled limited-slip diff (below the GT S is a mechanical limited-slip diff), adaptive and adjustable suspension damping and ‘Airpanel’ active air management system – which featured on the GT R only but is now standard on the other models in the range.
No confirmed prices yet, but being in the middle of the GT S and GT R, expect the from price somewhere between £97,195 and the GT R’s £140.545
